Easily bring your Microsoft Licenses to the cloud

Since October 1st, 2022, new updates to the hosting and outsourcing terms were applied. Said upgrades were made to benefit customers and the way they set their licenses, as well as running workloads with a CSP (Cloud Solutions Provider). In a few words, these changes will enable customers to move their Microsoft Licenses to a partner’s cloud for more flexibility and deployment options.  

Announcements for Microsoft Licenses in the cloud

Microsoft licenses with a partner – As a result of this announcement, having Microsoft licenses with a partner enables organizations to install, build, and run solutions through the partner’s cloud infrastructure. Thanks to Flexible Virtualization, organizations can gain flexibility to run software on multitenant clouds. 

Virtual Core Licensing Option – Customers have a new option with Software Assurance (SA), they can purchase licenses just for the virtual cores they are using in virtual machines. The Virtual Core Licensing option has made Windows Server easier to license when virtualizing or outsourcing.  

Easier view of Windows 10 and Windows 11 – We said goodbye to the Virtual Desktop Application add-on license requirement for Microsoft 365 F3, E3, and E5, having as a result an easier view of Windows 10 and 11. 

Microsoft Flexible Virtualization – When working with a CSP, organizations can pre-build hosted desktop and server solutions, and obtain licenses directly from partners.

Now, one- and three-year subscriptions for multiple Microsoft products, like Windows Server, Remote Desktop Services, and SQL Server, through partners in the CSP program (like 365 Cloud Store).
