Microsoft New Commerce Experience: Automatic Transitions for Commercial and Public Sector

Updated on January 5th, 2024

At the beginning of 2024, Microsoft is making significant changes to enhance your experience as a loyal customer of the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) services. We’re excited to share two crucial steps towards retiring the CSP legacy commerce platform and moving you to the next level of service with Microsoft New Commerce Experience (NCE).

Microsoft NCE – Public Sector Offers Transition:

• Microsoft will launch CSP public sector offers in the new commerce system starting March 1, 2024.
• Microsoft-led migration of public sector offers will begin starting July 1, 2024.
• Applies for Academic subscriptions, Not-for-profit (NFP)/charity subscriptions.
• Both new and renewing customers, like you, will have access to these offers. With the new commerce platform, you can enjoy enhanced features and exclusive advantages tailored for your needs.

Microsoft NCE Automatic Transitions of Renewing Customers:

• Starting January 2024, we’ll automatically transition all our renewing commercial and public sector customers to the new commerce platform.
• Microsoft’s seamless transition process ensures a hassle-free move, consolidating all your subscriptions under the new system.
• All legacy subscriptions will transition to NCE under annual commitment terms but will maintain the existing billing cycle and seat counts.
• Post-transition, you will have a seven-day window to make any necessary changes to your subscription term and/or quantity or cancel it if needed.

Flexibility:

• If you prefer monthly terms, consider transitioning before the 2024 renewal date of your legacy subscriptions. This way, we can ensure your terms align with your preferences.

Public Sector Launch Waves:

• Microsoft will launch public sector offers in new commerce across four waves beginning March 1, 2024.
• The revised launch wave dates are as follows:

While these offers appear on the catalog and price lists, the ability to purchase won’t be available until March 1, 2024.

Donation Product SKUs for Nonprofits:

• Donation product SKUs for nonprofits will be available to purchase on March 1, 2024.

At the 365 Cloud Store, we’re committed to ensuring a seamless and efficient transition for you. The new commerce platform brings numerous benefits, and we’re thrilled to help you transition. Should you have any questions or need assistance with the transition, our team is here to support you every step of the way.

Thank you for being a valued customer, and we look forward to continuing to serve you better!
