After a 10-year run, this past July 12th, 2022, the support for SQL Server 2012 came to an end. If you are still using this program, there are four options for estate migration and modernization that will help your organization stay secure and supported.
This option will allow you to run securely with up to three years of free Extended Security Updates, as well as continued access to product support through your existing support contract.
With this tool you can modernize your SQL Server in the cloud. This, by combining the broadest SQL Server engine compatibility with all the benefits a fully managed and always updated database service provides.
With this newer version of SQL Server, your organization will benefit from security, the ability to break down data silos, added business continuity scenarios, as well as deployment flexibility.
This is done via Azure Arc and just like moving to Azure, it gives you continuous product support through your existing support contract.
Just like planning to protect your SQL Server 2012, your organization should have in mind to do the same for Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2. The end of support for these products will be on October 10th, 2023.
You can stay secure by upgrading to Windows Server 2022. Do not hesitate to contact one of our Microsoft Licensing experts to help you with this option.
Another option is to migrate to the cloud. The experts from our sister organization, Team Venti can help you migrate to the cloud with little to no business interruption. Do not hesitate to schedule a call or ask for a quote.
