What is Microsoft 365 Copilot?

Microsoft 365 Copilot is a next-generation AI tool designed to enhance productivity and creativity in the workplace. It leverages the power of large language models (LLMs) and integrates with the Microsoft Graph and various Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

This integration allows Copilot to turn your words into a powerful productivity tool by working alongside you within these familiar applications.

How does it help users?

By introducing Microsoft 365 Copilot, users will enjoy an innovative experience called Business Chat, which extends its capabilities across LLM, Microsoft 365 apps, and your data (calendar, emails, chats, documents, meetings, and contacts). This feature enables you to perform tasks that were not possible before. For instance, you can provide natural language prompts like “Tell my team how we updated the product strategy,” and Copilot will generate a status update based on the information gathered from morning meetings, emails, and chat threads.

The key aspect of Microsoft 365 Copilot is that it puts you in control. You have the authority to decide what information to keep, modify, or discard. This AI tool empowers users to be more creative in Word, more analytical in Excel, more expressive in PowerPoint, more productive in Outlook, and more collaborative in Teams.

By combining the capabilities of large language models with your data, Microsoft 365 Copilot aims to unleash creativity, unlock productivity, and elevate skills in the everyday tasks carried out within the Microsoft 365 suite.
